The Reverend Paul Johnsen was appointed to Green Bay, First United Methodist Church in July of 2004. He is married to the Reverend Sarah Hart Johnsen. They have two sons, Ben and Ted. Paul enjoys biking, golf, photography and watching basketball.
Ministry Record:
1982, Entered the Wisconsin Conference as a Probationary Member and Ordained Deacon
1985, Became a Full member of the Wisconsin Conference and Ordained Elder.
1983-1990, Served as pastor Trinity, First and Central United Methodist Churches in Superior Wisconsin.
1990-1996, Served the Peace United Methodist church in Kaukauna and the Kimberly Presbyterian Church in Kimberly, Wisconsin.
1996-2004, Served as a Co-Pastor with Sarah at the Platteville United Methodist Church.
In commenting on his role as a Co-Pastor/Chief Evangelist, Paul wrote, "As a Co-Pastor/Chief Evangelist, I will get to know the membership of First Church and I will reach out to potential new members. I look forward to working with an excellent staff and with all of you as we continue to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world."
