2009 Registration for First Preschool has begun. First Preschool is now registering students for Fall 2009. Church members and present students may register immediately. Community registration begins Monday, January 19. Classes will meet for three and four year olds.
First Preschool will offer Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday PreK morning classes for 4-5 year olds from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. All days include the "Lunch Bunch" experience with additional bring-your-own lunch and additional academics and outdoor play.
Three-year-olds have two choices.
Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. or
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Extended day for 3's is called "Lunch Bunch" and is from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. This optional session includes bring-you-own lunch and additional outdoor play. It is available on 1, 2, or all 3 days (Mon., Weds., Thurs.) When you purchase 2 "lunch bunch" days, you get the third day for free. For an additional fee, students can choose as many days as they wish.

Purpose
Our preschool provides a quality educational program in a Christian environment.
Through age appropriate activities we emphasize God's love for all. We help each child develop a positive Christian attitude toward themselves, others and school.
Sponsorship
First United Methodist Preschool is a program of the church. It is self-supporting and governed by a Preschool Board that reports to the Children's Council of First Church. This board sets policy, serves in an advisory capacity and actively participates in the operation of the preschool with assistance of our paid staff.

Curriculum
We offer a balanced program of group and individual activities. Included are stories, songs, art, large and small muscle activities, music and movement, dramatic play, games, Bible time, science and math activities and snack time. The 3-year-old class emphasizes group interaction and social development through age appropriate activities. The 4-and-5-year-old class reinforces social skills and encourages kindergarten readiness.
Staff
First United Methodist Preschool has a team of trained and certified teachers who meet the requirements set forth by the Preschool Board and the Department of Health and Family Services of the State of Wisconsin.
Enrollment
Church members will be given the first opportunity to enroll beginning in late January. Returning students must re-enroll. Early in February, enrollment will be opened to the community. Three year old classes will have no more than 15 children. Four and five year old class will have no more than 20 children. Multi-age classes will have no more than 18.
Registration
A registration form and fee of $50.00 will secure a place for your child in the program. School will begin after Labor Day and end before Memorial Day.
History
First United Methodist Christian Preschool began in September 1992. Continued growth has allowed us to offer both morning and afternoon sessions to meet the needs of children and parents. Located in downtown Green Bay, we are a ten-minute drive from any part of the city. We offer drive through drop-off and pick-up of preschoolers.
