Vacation Bible School 2010

Join everyone at God's Great Get-Together for four days of creating, connecting, and coming together there is a place for you at      BAOBAB BLAST!

Put on some sunscreen and  head to the community gathering at the baobab tree. Join us in high action games, awesome music, wacky skits, Bible stories, and cool crafts!It's guaranteed to be a BLAST! 

June 21-24, from 1-4 p.m children 4 - 11 years old are invited to join in the fun. Fees are only $15 per child.

Experience a Bible story each day, with a specific theme.

Monday - Trust theme
Tuesday - Love theme
Wednesday - Follow theme
Thursday - Care and Share theme

Easter Egg Hunt

A spring celebration on the Saturday before Easter.  Entertainment first, and an Egg Hunt follows in Jackson Park.  Children of all ages enjoy our annual hunt. Cookies and milk served outside and a special visitor makes an appearance.

    
   

Bible Weekend

Third Graders participate in a workshop on Friday evening beginning with supper as they learn about the Bible. Saturday  we have a float in the downtown parade. We finish off with receiving Bibles in Worship on Sunday. A very special faith milestone for our third graders.

    
   

Summer Camp

August 9 - 12, 2010

The second week in August we head to Pine Lake, a United Methodist Camp to enjoy God in the great outdoors. Parent and kids stay together in the retreat center. Swimming, crafts, games, nature discovery time. campfires and more.  A wonderful time to spend with other First Church families.

    
   

Advent Celebration

We kick off the Advent season with special music, cookies and friends as we get ready for Christmas and help us remember the true reason for the season. Held on the Friday night before Advent.

    
   

Life Lessons

Kids learn about manners and being kind, with emphasis on Christian values. Sessions are offered during the summer for children  7 - 11 years old.

    
   

Fat Tuesday Supper 

Come eat pancakes and sausage, celebrate Mardi Gras and even join in a pancake flipping contest.

Fun for all ages with beads, hats and crafts to make.

Mark the day with supper at church as we fill up and eat before Lent begins the next day,Ash Wednesday.
