WHAT DOES FIRST DAYCARE OFFER?

On June 8, 2009, First Preschool began operating a year-round, non-profit Christian Daycare for preschool children.  September – May children attending daycare will attend morning preschool at no additional cost to parents. Over the summer, we also offer a fun-filled program for preschoolers as well as school age children 5 – 11 years. Children will participate in field trips, walks to city parks and the reading program at Central Library.

During the school year, before and after school care is offered to students of the Leonardo da Vinci School. Teachers will walk the children to and from school each day. Snack, homework time, and free choice offered daily. Space is limited.

Located in the lower level of FirstUnitedMethodistChurch, First Daycare is licensed to serve 2–11 year olds. Hours are Monday – Friday from 6:00am until 5:30pm. Enrollment is open year-round, based on availability.

THE BABY PLACE AT FIRST UMC

Our licensed infant and toddler daycare is located in the Ziemer building adjacent to First United Methodist Church. The Baby Place provides a warm, safe environment for children six weeks to two years of age. Our infant and toddler teachers provide simple, consistent routines for diapering, mealtimes, naps, outside time, and transitions. Teachers use this time to give one-on-one attention while they give personal care to each child. First consideration is given to First UMC church members and current families. $230 per week – full time care only.

First Preschool & Daycare and The Baby Place are staffed by licensed teachers who provide a warm, caring, Christian atmosphere in a child friendly environment. Church members and the community are welcome to check out our programs and facilities.
