Who is EPH?
In partnership with other Green Bay Churches, EPH provides transitional housing and long-term supportive housing for homeless families in our community. EPH partners with social support organizations such as The Salvation Army and Golden House for case management, advocacy, and other supportive services leading back to self-sufficiency. Members of our congregation serve on the Board of Directors and provide cleaning and meals for families as they move in. The EPH office is located in our Ziemer Building. The following quote from one of our former mother’s helps illustrate how we make a difference.
“It is scary not knowing where you are going to sleep every night, feeling like you have failed
at providing the necessities of life for our children. So for EPH (and its Salvation Army partner)
to provide this it is more than helpful, it is security and life altering – a building block indeed.”
How can you help?
Time: EPH is a volunteer-based organization. If you have a knowledge and/or skill you would like to share, please contact the church office. We have a need for general construction, painters, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, or even volunteers who can pull weeds, mow the lawn, or snow blow in the winter. Your talents in cleaning and preparing a home for the next family are also needed.
Prayer: Our families have multiple barriers which led to, or are preventing a life of self-sufficiency. Pray for the courage, the strength, and the time to diligently work on these barriers.
Gifts of gently used items: We accept gently used furniture, household appliances, items for stocking a kitchen, lawnmowers, and snow blowers – most anything required to maintain a safe, comfortable, and empowering home.
Financial gifts: Please consider a gift to EPH to meet the day-to-day operational needs of our ministry. Or consider a donation to our Endowment – a legacy gift - which will provide an additional source of long-term sustainable funding for our ministry. 100% of all funds remain in Brown County. Your tax deductible gifts, payable to EPH, may be sent to Ecumenical Partnership for Housing, P.O. Box 524, Green Bay WI, 54305-0524.
Thank you for supporting this ministry for homeless families in our community.
